Machame Route — 7 Days Kilimanjaro Trek
From$2,450
View detailsOverview
Per person, based on a standard group departure. Private dates and 6-day Marangu variants quoted on request.
Marangu is often called the “Coca-Cola Route”: a well-walked trail with dormitory-style mountain huts, communal dining, and a clear out-and-back profile via the same path for ascent and descent. Five days is the classic published length — faster than Machame’s seven-day camping plan, and more demanding on acclimatization because you gain height with fewer sleep-high nights.
Xenohuru plans Marangu as a broker: we recommend the itinerary, quote typical inclusions, and place you with a vetted partner operator for hut logistics, pacing, and health checks. We do not sell Marangu as “the easy route.” Huts remove camping logistics; they do not remove altitude. For many first-time high-altitude hikers with limited leave, it is still the right practical choice — if fitness and expectations are aligned.
Use this page to decide whether five-day Marangu fits your window, how each day feels, and what is typically included. When you are ready, WhatsApp us with dates and group size. We reply with a clear quote, operator match, and whether a sixth day is wiser for acclimatization.
